Trio Convicted Of Ripping Off Microsoft Sentenced To Prison

Three people convicted of scamming Microsoft Corp. out of millions by buying sharply discounted software intended for schools and reselling it to nonacademic customers were sentenced to lengthy prison terms. Federal prosecutors said Mirza Ali, 60, and his wife, Sameena Ali, 52, orchestrated the scheme that illegally exploited a Microsoft program that let companies buy its products cheaply if they were to be resold exclusively to educational institutions.

Yeah they thought it was ok to sell products intended for educational purposes, my arse.

They will have known they were braking Microsofts code but thought they could get away with it.

People who try to go up against big companies like obvoiusley don't have the brains they were born with.
