I have just done a search on Ebay for Transcender exam material and it cam up with 3 people selling the 70-270 exam that iam in the process of studying

Thing is they are selling them for between £6.50 and £7.99

This seems very very cheap do you think there is a catch somewhere ??

just looking for some feedback before i make an offer

from what I can see that one guy is selling it illegaly. His site doesn't bare the logo for being a seller for TS. The way he has it worded I think it something he bought for himself and is reselling it. If that is so I'm not so sure if you if you could download the updates because of the key code they use. Plus it would make it pirated software. Remeber everyone. When you use pirated software like that you are taking food from someone table.

 

Be careful with these because my company purchased them and they become out of date quite quickly. My colleague took this exam the other day and there are loads of questions on service pack 2 that aren't included in any of the text books or trancenders yet. Probably better to use Measure Up from the Microsoft site.

 

To be honest they were probably orginally sold on a single user licence (one person to use only) and the guy's selling them on - probably breaking software licencing laws but if you can cope with that then get more details from the guy! they are usually about £53 each.

 

usually about £53 each !! where from most of the transcenders i have seen are nearer the £100 mark at least

Do you have any links for this as this is a more reasonable price to pay for testing software when on a tight budget

I recieved my "disk" the other day but it doesnt work. It's all there but the system key is required to activate the product and that has not been supplied. The dude claims if he sticks the disk in his machine it autoloads no problem but I get up the activation screen and am unable to get past it. Widely available on the web if you can get a working key-gen then your laughing.
As for food from someones table, It means I keep it on mine! £125 for a SIMULATION exam please! If companies actually made the software affordable in the first place none of this would be neccessary.

 

Note to Mitzs: perhaps you'd consider using your influence with "TM" to see if this issue can be resolved.

As for you mr nice. You get what you paid for. I don't feel sorry for you one bit that you were ripoff. Or anyone else that buys software like this. It is illegal!

You want the best training product out there, but you don't want to pay for it? Why do you think this is one of top products on the market? Because they have some of the best writers that put 10 to 14 hours day in writing this material. They provide them with any material they need to learn the subject. They set up computers and networks for them to actually know the material they are writing about. Do you think all this is cheap? Do you think people should work for nothing? Like I said earlier. You get what you pay for. Think about that the next time you steal your training material because that is exactly what you have done.

 

There are authorized resellers on eBay, and they bear the logo like this guy so you can tell they are the real deal. You can get all the updates if you buy from a legit reseller, the only thing you do not get is the guaranteed pass. I got that from good old Spike, back when he worked for Transcender and was the best spokesman they ever had!

As for new questions being added to the test that Transcender has not made updates for, that could be because they are concentrating on the Server 2003 stuff coming out, and not being aware of changes in the older certs. Mitzs, could you ping TM on that?

 

Oh! I just realized that your problem might be that discs for North America might not work in the UK/Europe due to that weird encoding thing the CD companies do!
