Took my 291 Today

I sat my 291 today in another different test centre, I like having to find the places as it keeps me on edge.

The minute I started the exam I felt completely out of my depth. I think I answered 2 questions out of the first 10. After about 20 questions it eased up a bit, but I still felt so far out of my comfort zone that I had actually resigned to failing.

Regardless, I read through every question as many times as was required, worked out what I thought was the most logical answer, chose, then moved on never to go back. The Sims were great, I honestly think I got 100% of them right, and this may have been my saving grace.

When I clicked the finish button, I knew I'd failed... when it bleeped up a score of 840 I almost screamed.

MCSA down, 70-293 here I come.

Thanks guys. I can honestly see why people call it the beast. I honestly do not know how I got 840... it definately did not feel easy. I did get 100% on Managing Maintaing RRAS.

For this one I used Learnkey, the Microsoft Press book (1st edition) and an ExamCram2 book. Because the WSUS content was lacking, I downloaded anything and everything on the Microsoft site about it, including the install guides.

I now have a laptop specifically for Server 2003, which I absolutely needed for this one, so I could just play around with RRAS, WSUS, DNS etc etc etc while I was on the sofa watching TV. I pretty much spent two days with this stuck to my lap, without this I think I'd have failed the sims.

The Sims.... can't really say too much due to the NDA, but they were HUGE. There were around 5/6 sims that took me about 3-5 minutes of solid work each (not inclduing the thinking about it.) They were unlike anything I've encountered before.
As well as the big sims, there were around 5 small sims, like 'click the relevant tick boxes to configure X to do X.'

 

Oh I thought you did some test sims, I didnt mean those in the exam!

I know you get use of a cut down version the windows calculator. does it have the scientific portions or is it just a basic calcluator.
