I am now back to my "normal" shift patterns so I now have more time on my hands to study.

Is it worth me trying to cram as much as possible to get the N+ out of the way before it changes or should I wait untill it changes and buy the newer books?

I am about half way through the Groth book and still have the Meyers book to read.

Depends on you. I'd read through the Groth book and take a practice exam to see if I'm ready.

Remember, when the exam changes, you'll still have a few months of overlap before the old exam is retired.

 

Any available from Boson yet?

If not I'll go for some Transcender ones.

 

I've spent 4 months on and off studying for this exam. I've finished the Groth book, and have looked through the Meyers book - personally, the Meyers book approach is a little beating around the bush, also used exam cram 2 which is concise.

You've got 7 more months to do the 2007 objectives, just aim for those.

 

Ahh right, I was thinking it was gonna be more like 3 - 4 months. Cheers

 

Boson is going to create an ExSim Max for the new version; it wouldn't do us much good to create a product for a version that's about to be retired!

 

Derkit, do you have a link to the Network+ 2007 retirement date? I don't see anything official from CompTIA. Thanks!

green: yeah 3/4 months more off than on thats for sure! Really got my head down in the past 2 weeks, and for about 3 weeks around the start of Nov, with spatterings between then and now. If I had the books etc. for the 2005/7 objectives already and I was looking at it now, I would start it as you'll have enough time between now and the end of July.

Also looking at Boson's link (glad you found it!) 2005/7 have 90Qs for a pass of 554, while 2009 has 100Qs for pass of 720 - read what you will into those numbers!
