Aye - but as far as 'programming' is concerned... see the diagram for the comment about HTML and apply equally!

 

To be fair - Pascal *is* a programming language, but was designed to *teach* programming, rather than to be used in anger. Borland had to hack it about a fair bit to make it useful in the real world.

The original designer - Niklaus Wirth - then produced Modula-2 in an effort to make it more usefull. This had a brief vogue, but is nowadays rarely seen.
