when i try and logon to my server it says, system cannot log you on because there is a time difference between the server and the client? (looks like i may have to finally replace my battery)

Whats the big deal about it? is it for sychnorisation or something else?

does anyone know how to get the clock ro use the internet time, think its windows.time.com or something like that?

    server - 2003 advanced server
clients - 2k pro and xp

    Thanks.

I'm wondering if this is the bug reported recently, where M$ servers have the wrong info about the ending of Summer time in Europe?

M$ think it is the 4th weekend in October. But in fact it is the *last* weekend in October. Normaly these two are the same, but this year......

There is supposed to be a patch available for this.

    Harry.

I think you can change the DC policy to allow a bigger difference in time or even disable that part of the policy. 8)

    TheCheekMaster,

    Questions:
    1. Where is the physical location of the server?
    2. Where is the physical location of the clients?
