Does anyone know the name of the site then when you submit its o845 or o870 number, it provides you with a landline number to that place. As im sure by law they are required to have one.

After being messed about with my laptop i have basically ran up a bill of 15 quid, which considering i ended up cancelling the laptop as they couldnt deliver when they said they would is adding insult to injury in my view.

No I dont but if youve ran up a bill from this dodgy place then you could always go for compo in the small claims court, just keep your bills handy

surley that depends on the call centre location? if its an 0845 (like bt tech support - gits) then potentially they dont have a direct number its just a centralised number routed out to a vast array of tech specialists.

However if someone does know a website id love to know it as well

    East one this

    www.saynoto0870.com

0845 numbers are local rate anyway. 0870 numbers can be pricey and these are the ones that you need and landline numbers for.

As an addendum, if you are on one of these free calls at weekends/off peak deals, remember that you will pay for 0845 numbers at the local rate. The free calls are only on phone numbers starting with 01 or 02. Yup if your with sky or the like getting free calls you will pay for support if they use a 0845 number.

While the 'saynoto0870' site is useful I have to warn that there may not be a Geographic number behind an 0845 or 0870 (or similar) number. It's all down to the telco that owns the numbers how they do this.

It so happens that because of technical constraints BT usualy redirect the numbers to Geographic ones. Many other telcos don't.

depending on your financial circumstances you may be able to get free representation, it used to be if you were on less than 16k a year you could get free rep, dont know if thats changed or not.

Ask citizens advice bureau they will tell you, and also inform you what your options are.
