I thought I remembered seeing something about a young girl being allergic to water...

Being allergic to men would be upsetting. Being allergic to tea would really upset the mornings too. But on a serious note - anything that would limit 'quality of life' too much. Like Moom kinda said - air.

How can you be allergic to water? If you don't have any, you die! :blink I recently read a news item about a 15 year old girl with severe peanut allergies. Her boyfriend had a peanut snack right before they kissed. That was all it took to send the poor girl into shock. She never recovered. :(

Aren't we about 70% water? That wouldn't be good.

yep. 80% water. but it IS possible to be allergic to water. i think in those situations its all about maintaining the EXACT level of water required, to minimise the reaction.

That said, i dont believe its possible to be violently allergic to it.

yep, i don't think it's the actual chemical version of water that we're allergic to, as trip said we'd die, but it's a combination of ph levels and different "safe" chemicals present in any water that can trigger it.

    usually just makes you puke.

imagine being allergic to silicon? *shivers* :tongue
