I'm not sure weather any of you have encountered this before but I had some startling stuff happen tonight involving my neighbour and a pair of headphones!

Apologies for the pseudo-plug for my revamped blog but to save retelling the story again you can simply read it here and see what you think.

I have heard of that happening, not to me but to people around me. Nowadays we have to extra careful as you never know who's listening in. But this is definitely serious stuff.

It certainly took me by surprise I'll give it that. Weird dilemma though as I don't want to offend yet i don't really want to replace the cans...

At one time this was not uncommon. I used to have an old cordless telephone and because the system was so simple any old thing could pick up the conversation.

This is the same problem that used to show up when a police car was outside and one side of the conversation was picked up by a Hi-Fi amp.

With improvements in technology this isn't so common now I find. The main culprit these days is the GSM burble from my phone.

Hehehe. I chose black because it lowers power consumption (somehow....apparently). It was a green attempt!

I'd expect the layout etc to change radically over the coming weeks....or when I can be arsed to put in the effort to tweak the template!

Still pondering whether to tell the neighbour or not!

As for u's in words like colour, I find now that having lived this side of the pond for a few years that I do make mistakes with my spelling... oh and I tend to call the rubbish the 'trash' now too.

See you later I'm off to the garridge (sic) err I mean garaj (sic).

Myth. CRT monitors don't use as much energy displaying black... but LCD monitors actually use MORE energy to display black. Considering the majority of monitors that will be used to hit your site are likely LCDs, the energy saved (or lost!) will likely be negligible.

In truth, the only energy that will be saved are the bits that are no longer passed because people stop frequenting your site from a horrible color scheme.
