    1) It's too hot

    2) Can't get motivated

    3) Too much noise from outside (why can't they all cut their grass at the same time instead of one after the other !)

    4) thinking about lunch

HELP ! Someone motivate me !

It is too damn hot:blink But even if you manage to do an hour, its something.

Try taking the study materials somewhere else and studying, maybe a quiet pub or coffee house. Less distractions.

I have done two hours of watching CBT Nuggets today, to reinforce some learning.

Not sure I was entirely focused, as I kept thinking about doing a BBQ :p

LOL, I'm not the only one then! best part of a afternoon to finish one measly chapter in the Vista book

As well as the the lawnmower brigade I have to contend with the noise from the house next door which is currently getting its floor replaced.

    Sometimes its just not happening!

    Perhaps tomorrow..............

Look at this way, noone is going to give you a raise or promote you just because they like you. Not to mention, if you can't motivate yourself to study how are you gonna find the drive you will need to move forward and up the ladder at work? And don't ever forget all the other little sneaky peeps just waiting for you to mess up so they can have your job. Or how about you won't be able to afford even micky Ds food with the cost of everything going up expect for your pay because you wouldn't study. Lets see, girls don't like guys that are cheap dates ALL the time. Friends will get tired of buying you beer all the time. Or you will have to stay home by yourself because you can't afford to go out on the town with your friends not even to the movies! I have more if you need them. Just let me know. :dry

It's not easy but just have to take the bull by the horn, at the end of the day it's your call. But I'd get pass all the distractions and get down to it, best wishes as you can do it:)

I was seeing if a swift kick in the pants would work first. We have all been there and sometimes just need a little push from friends to get back on track. If that doesn't work then I'll break out the duck tape and shove him off a cliff!

You can do it UK. You have great potential and I just want to see you reach it. Remember it is about your furture. And more and more people are entering this field you have to do more then just compete if you want to get ahead. I wish you all the best and have great faith in you!
