    Deal all,

I hope you would be able to help me, I have got one CISCO router 1812 which has got external IP address (217.33.254.x) and my PC has got another external IP addres (80.169.135.x) with solarwind TFTP server running (checked the status: STARTED). From my PC I can ping the router and get on to it. From the router as well I can ping my PC. Router and my PC are in two different site and two different network. Whenever I was trying to copy running-config to TFTP server (my pc), it gives me an error message

    Router#copy run tftp:
Address or name of remote host []? 80.169.135.x
    Destination filename [cgh-1812-2-confg]?
    .....
    %Error opening tftp://80.169.135.x/router-confg (Timed out)

Thanks for your time and probably you would be able to help me out with you advice.

    Regards

    Rez1

Good troubleshooting steps are in here: link

You also might want to ensure that you don't have a firewall blocking attempts to connect using port 69.

Finally, check the SolarWinds TFTP Server configuration by clicking File > Configure and ensure that everything on those tabs are configured correctly, particularly the Permitted Transfer Types on the Security tab.
