Well, I gotta say I was more than a little surprised when I just opened the "Active Topics in the Last Day" page and was confronted by a large ad for TestKing. I thought this site didn't go for braindumps.

we dont, but google ads are based on keywords,
whilst we ARE able to remove the offending ones, as far as im aware its on a case by case basis and obviously Si hasnt come across all of them yet

it was a good adsense type ad right? if not ignore everything i said
but we dont like braindumps, and we dont keep em around long once thier spotted

 

I'm not familiar with ad types so you'll have to educate me on your terminology.

 

Actually, I'm viewing it right at the top of this thread. Nice great big letters which you can't miss.

Testking bought one of those wierd domain suffixes

The ad I see is a link to testking.nl instead of testking.com more then likely Si has the .com filtered, its just the jerk adding another.

Yeah, somehow they manage to get the fonts in their ads about 4 or 5 times larger than the rest of the Google ads too. Usually the Google ads will display 3 or 4 ads at a time, but when the TestKing ad is showing it's all by itself using very large fonts. It just jumps out at you.

 

Go green - no more ads ever!

Are Testking still alive? I thought they'd vanished.

 

the .nl url has now been added to the filters for the ads, you wont see it again on CF. Any more just let me know,
