We discussed this in another Thread a little while back, as I recall....

So after spending a bit of time getting used to Mozilla Firefox, I think I've decided to make the switch permanent to using it.

At the time we discussed it before, Si mentioned that this site has one or two "issues" with the browser, but I have checked at length tonight, and can find none of any significance.

I think the clincher is the Tabbed Windows feature (as well as the "no pop-ups" ) - that is handy at home, but at work, where I need to jump between anywhere up to six or seven windows at a time, this will be invaluable.

Any one else got opinions on this ?

    STOP PRESS..........

OK, now I have just discovered the feature that has sealed it for me. Under options, you have the ability to view and edit saved passwords that you have entered - that is fabulous.

At least once at work, I have accidentally mis-spelt a password, so I am now stuck with bringing up the default, then changing it before I can continue

Not no more - that is a first class feature in Firefox :)

    @Flex - what Phoenix said !

Confession time - I was a bit rash about the password editing feature - seems you can view details of sites where you have saved your log-on details, but not actually view or change the password. Sorry for the mis-information

Other than that, then yeah - a truly tasty browser.

    Thanks.

    I'm here now using firefox.

    Strange thing happened.

I came onto this site using firefox, while still logged in with IE.

I could see my username int he lsit of people online, but the login option was shown on this website.
So how could I log in, when I'm already logged in, lol.

What ahppened when I use alternatives to IE usually is that if I'm logegd in with IE at a particular site, then open a new browser, and go to the same site, I'm still logged in.

Not so in this case, just a point that's all :D

It looks good so far, will have to explore more.

OH aslo as well, when I came to certforums with mozilla, the site looked the same as it does with IE.
However, when I loggedin, the look format changed.Instead of going straight down, the site is more split with the articles to the right.

    Thanks :!:

That was one of the few "issues" I noticed too, Flex - but whenever you click the Site Menu/Forum link, that stops and it's CertForums business as usual :)

I just installed it on a VM XP install and its does seem to handle the site OK. There are a few issies that now I've seen them I'll have to sort out but apart from that it seems to play ball now the site has a fixed width. :D

Funny I never got this the first time I loaded the page. The width of the homepage is really messed up. Do you get the same?

Aye, I egt the same.I think I've had this a couple of times in IE as well, but usually sorts itself out with another click of the site heading.

I can't get this off mozilla, it just stays the same.

PS: Si I see your not using tabbed browsing also,, how do you turn this on :!:

Ahhh, I just got the tab to work.

You can right-click and choose 'open link in new tab'

Wondering if their's a way of automatically opening links in new tabs, like it does with Slimbrowser.

Also, open when you use the address bar to open a new page, it doesn't go to a new tab.You have to sue the back button to go to the prvious page.
