    Hi,

Basically I work for a large telcom company which provides Voice Support for 80% of the banks, insurance companies, stockbrokers and hedge funds within the square mile in london (morgate, liverpool street, old street etc). They are looking for customer support engineers who have a good foundation knowledge in Windows Server, Networking, vmware and SQL. You dont have to be excellent in those areas as we are willing to train you up. Knowledge of Voice networks such as VOIP and SIP will count as a bonus. Ideal candidates must be very enthusiastic and must have the drive to self study and explore new technologys constantly. Salary will be between £16K - £30K depending on experiance.

Theres also another position thats come up within the company, we require a CCNP / CCIP or CCVP. If anyone wants more info send me a message. Please send me a message and I will provide an email address to send the CV's too.

If anyones interested let me know asap and ill forward ur CV's on to management over here, I thought it might help some of you guys on here since you have provided support to me over the years.

If this is genuine (and I'm NOT saying it's not), it looks like a great opportunity.

    Thanks for the heads up

Pardon my ignorance but 16000 sounds terrible for what is requested and central London based job?

Fair enough - but are there three different roles on offer? If not, then aren't they casting their net a bit wide? Either the job's an entry level role, or it's not. If it's entry level, then the skillset required is ridiculous, if it's not entry level, then why advertise it at such a low starting wage? And why would you want someone with no IT experience at all for that sort of role?

Clearly this is not just some recruitment agency - it's actually the company that you work for - so why is the role advertised with a top starting salary of almost twice the minimum? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense, is all.

    Best of luck filling it!

    Then why

because surely with no IT background they won't have a good foundation knowledge?

This really is sending out mixed messages about the job, either you want someone experienced or you don't.

I think you really need to refine what it is you're looking for because the net really is too large.
