Huh ? I requested a code and was sent one (not using it as the specific exams are not ones I want to use) but nothing is said about that :

This is your Microsoft Student Price Code:XXXXXXXXXXX.

How to redeem your Microsoft Student Price Code:

    1. Using the Student Price Code, schedule and pay for your exam by going to Prometric's web site, call center or test center locations that can be found on this website http://www.prometric.com/microsoft

    2. Go to the most convenient Prometric Testing Center located near you. Do not forget to take your valid student ID card to the testing center!

    3. Take your exam.

    Good luck on your exams!

    Prometric

The student price for Microsoft Certification Exams is available worldwide except in China and India. Price is valid until June 30, 2010. Students must register, schedule and take their exam by June 30, 2010. Do not forget to take your valid student ID card to the testing center! Students without a valid student ID card will have to pay the professional exam price.

after speaking to prometric i went back on the prometric 55% off a microsoft exam page (the one where they list the exmas on offer) and then i noticed the 72-271 for the mcdst exams really gutted
    :dry,

also im not sure what he meant but it could have meant if a college/university registers you for the exam then you automatically take the 72-270 version even though there is no difference

    i might be wrong.....

has anyone been able to take the 70-271 version using the 55% off voucher?

    Hi everyone,

I think it was not clear about the acedemic exams with Microsoft. I have emailed them to confirm that I was in title to take this exam. I have received the following reply:

    "Thank you for your e-mail.

We kindly inform you that only students of Microsoft IT Academies may
take academic exams (72-xxx). Please note that you may check if your
University is an IT Academy on the following website:"

After I have checked with them about prometric voucher. I had received the following reply:

"We would like to confirm that you can take advantage of Prometric's
latest student offer. Please be aware that you must register, schedule
and take your exams by June 30, 2010.

For more information, please contact Prometric directly via phone 0800
592 873 or via contact form at http://www.prometric.com/TestTakers/ContactUs/email.htm"

I hope it will encourage students to save some money.:D

    Thanks to everyone!:)
