I am a bit short of cash at the moment (moving house), so i was going to leave purchasing this book until after the essentials and use it as a part of my revision for the IT tech paper.

Do you think this is wise?.... or would you say its greatly beneficial to the essentials exam as well.

I don't know anything about this book ... i heard it take you through procedures ie trouble shooting, upgrades and repairs.

I''l see i may just order it on the old CC after I get the next statement.

The streetsmart book has exercises in it like Installing ram, PSU and CPU but it also has things like optimizing Windows and how to do certain things in Windows.

It would be beneficial for both exams but you could just use it for the 602.

What other books are you using?

I am using the AIO + CBT Nuggets

To be honest job wise and self employed wise i have been in IT in the past as a it tech for 7+ years.

I just want to make sure that i follow standard procedures according to Comptia, because i learnt things myself working in computer shops, computer repair workshops, hobby and IT companies i have worked for as a database based admin and developer .

See I left IT for accountancy and now wish to get back in.

You will probably be ok then, I wouldnt worry about using loads of material for the A+ especially with your experience.
