just builds on A+ skills, real world scenarios that we get faced with.. repairs, its a good little reference book i think, reinforces stuff youve learnt on A+ and more.

There is a whole series for the Comptia exams... look well worth a read instead of exam cram plus they not badly priced..

 

Sorry...I can't help with Amazon discounts. If Sybex approaches me to write a Street Smarts book for XP or Vista, I'd be glad to do it. I *was* working on a Linux book but the deal fell through. Turns out it was a blessing in disguise because I've picked up on another choice project. I'll tell you more about it when I'm in it a little more.

Ive had mine for a while now, its a canny book

 

noelg, one of the admins over at TU purchased 3 or 4 of them, can't remember the amount. For his new staff that he hired at his place of employment. Said he was really happy with the book for a training guide. Since i know how serious Jim takes his job, this said alot. He is the not the type of person to say something good about a product just because a friend wrote it.

I have the book too and am I'm press with it. It is one of those books that stays on my desk and not in the book case. Goos luck with your studies.
