Hi,

Maybe silly question but
I live in Canary Wharf and sometimes passing through I wonder,
what if I would walked in to one of these big banks with CV in my hand,
asked about someone from HR and asked about job for example as a Desktop Support?
Does it make any sense?
Just don't laugh to loud ;) it's late and maybe I'm dreaming

I was thinking is there any point to do like that? Is there any chance they employ people straight from street or they rather do this through recruitment agencies?? :hhhmmm

Most would go through a recruiting agency I would imagine. But if you show up and introduce yourself and make a good impression they could go pull you in for an interview and save them some £££ by cutting out the middle man.

If you want to go global then good luck

 

Go in there and ask them for an informational meeting to see what would make you attractive for them to employ. There you will find out what they are looking for and maybe if you are interested in these areas too you can focus your studies in that direction.

 

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. And after all, what's the worst they can do? Say "No"? Go for it!
