How can I stop diallers showing on websites :?:

I just clicked on the following link http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/157388

from the 'Just for laughs forum and a dialler appeared, asking me to download it.Anyway it was persistent and took me a min to get rid of the damn thing.£20 a min, no tar very much :!:

Can I use some kind of AV to stop these appearing.I've never had more than a couple appear, but last few days about two or three have appeared while browsing everyday sites.

    Need to sort this quick.

    Thanks :!:

Google toolbar has good enough ad blocking to cope with this sort of thing.

I already have the google toolbar, and it's set up to block popups.

Think this new browser I'm using may have switched it off, hmm.
    I'll have a gander, ta :!:

Know what you mean, Flex - I had one or two probs at work after visiting that link. Quick run of Adaware cleaned things up initially.

I believe Mozilla Firefox doesn't even let them past the "door". I'm not trying to promote it as a browser, but it does seem far more resistant than IE to this sort of stuff.

    IMHO :)
