So today, I went for 2 job interviews, one closer to where I live, the other 15 miles away.

One is working for the Uni in Newcastle city centre, the other for a financial bank in Sunderland. Both IT 1st line support roles. However, the one is offering £100 a day and the other £80 a day. Now before you all ask which did I go for here is where it gets really interesting.

I was offered the Sunderland job first even tho the interview was after the Newcastle one. I said yes to it cos of the money. Then 2 hrs later I get offered the Uni job in Newcastle...I thought this cant be happening to me!!

I told the Uni one ok I will take yours cos your closer to home. When I rang back the one in Sunderland, they were not happy. Anyway to cut a long story short, midway thru the convo my phone died of no battery so I rushed home to charge the phone and when I did I got a text message from the job in Sunderland saying that they will pay me and get ready for this....£140 a day...yes u heard right £140 a DAY!!!

I couldnt believe it...in the end I said I will take it...and I start tomorrow...and they say its tough working in IT :biggrin

    Good stuff m8 :biggrin

Got yourself sorted with an umbrella or you going to go Ltd?

Do you want it to go perm? At that rate you might want to consider setting yourself up as a contractor on a rolling if they'll have it :thumbleft

I got myself sorted with an umbrella they gave me a break down of how much I will be getting after tax and that and even then im still coming home with a lot more than I could possibly imagine ...and yes it would be nice if it went perm...and I think its likely it will but for now its a month rolling contract...so I am happy with that for now...

But it still hasnt yet sunk in...maybe when I see my first check...then I will really belive it...until then I got the job yay! :biggrin just what exactly did I do to deserve this tho? Im just an ordinary bloke...lol
