    Looks like i have company

    I have put the exam of and not got myself into gear for a few weeks but i have been hitting it hard and am taking the Exam on Friday :(

    100 Questions, 90 mins and £180 - It will be the most expensive 90 mins of my life

    Oh Yeah - i have been using the Syngress book - which i actually founf pretty good - albeit 4 years out of date

    Best of luck mate and ill be waiting to here from you regarding any advice you have concerning book choices as i do have that book in mention already!

    PS you been using other websites for extra info? Maybe one with tech articles or something?

    I did the Micorosft course, which of course is not really relevant to the exam :)

    But i have just been looking around at free online resources.

    I will let you know what its like when i get back

    im a bit gutted that Syngress are bringing out the new revision soon. I have found the older book to be slightly out of date with things like Wireless

    If you scroll to the bottom of the page this is what it shows:

    Version 1.0 - Version Date: November 15, 2004 So it is a bit old.

    I checked out the Street Smart Guide to the Security+ Exam and while it is good teaching you how to actually do things in the real world I don't think it will help you for the actual exam since it deals more with the theory part of security.

    Good book to gain some of the security skills you will need.
