I bought the game when it first came out but haven't played much so I am a noob!

i'm also a bit of a noob haha
I'm usually pretty good at most RTS games but the fast paced early-aggro style of SC takes some getting used to
some of these guys literally have their build queues memorized down to a T in the first 120 seconds, it's insane

 

It's insane because this game is all about speed... you can have hundreds of builds that work, but if you're slower than your opponent, than most likely you're going to lose.

Some of the guys that I play with are diamond and platinum players... they know exactly how many seconds each unit takes to build, how long the upgrades take, they play by timing so that the base expansion is rapid... hot keys, macro... in fact one guy I know pretty much uses the keyboard 90% of the time.

If you want to play I can PM you my email or vise versa and we'll have a few games. I have a couple of friends that I play with and some of them live in the states so it should not be a problem.

 

Man I remember the old Quake days when I played like that, i could literally do loops of DM4 and rocket jump up to a ledge landing just as the red armor spawned.. ahh the memories!

 

Funny, the only RTS games I played ever were Starcraft and Command and Conquer. Quake days were awesome... I love fast paced games like that.

I got owned so much I went back to TF2 and my hat collection

 

So with the new patch (1.5) and the upcoming release of Heart of the Swarm - Is anyone still playing this (or coming back?)

I've been whoring it up the last few weeks, managing to get from Bronze to Gold (yay me). So was wondering whether anyone else is playing and wants some games

 

I'm playin every now and then. I'm pretty rubbish in competetive games so most of the time I play Desert Strike and Nexus Wars

 

Haven't played in a long time! Been busy with Diablo for a few weeks... now just studying for exams.
