any recommended free spyware programs out there that people have already tried and tested? and not trail versions.
I am currently using sbybot but its developed a very annoying with the trojan.sbi file. which I have already investigated the problem but refuses to work.

They also have threatfire which protects you against malware and it's free, it's the full vesion and not the cut down one like some of the other on the market8)

Try Linux. You won't have malware problems. You won't have to run any AV software or anything like adaware or spybot.
