Spinrite 6.0

    Hi all,
    purchased Spinrite 6.0 yesterday.. What a great program!! Ok, its slow, but thats a reason its so thorough i guess... Recovered a 20Gb drive yest!!!
    Cant wait to use it further, especially now that it can be used with NTFS..

    when you say recovered
    you mean, managed to get the data off and then chucked the disk in the nearest skip right?

    Yeh course Ryan,

    thats what i wanted it for. Once a drive goes bad i think its best to bin it, but people never back up as they should, me included!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, just to get stuff off it, pics, etc.......

    not all people follow our belief that 'yes, if the disk is buggered, its buggered, bin it', just wanted to check hehe :)

    glad you managed to recover it, did you give knoppix a try? it works 9/10 times for me and is err, free :)
