On my XP machine, i have two drives spanned into one, but i want to fresh install another os instead.

these drives (spanned) are not the primary disks, they are secondary (D & E), so when i install my new os (Win 2003 server) would i lose my data held on the drive, or when i install the os, will it still be 2 drives?

Im sure i would not lose the data cuz i think i read a post similar to this here on CF but cannot find it at the moment.

    Thanks.

I think both disks will show up as foreign so if you import them both to the new disk group at the same time you should be ok.

I would backup critical data before doing this though :biggrin
