May I direct you to here:

We have a problem with SP3 breaking folder redirection.

We found an fdeploy.dll fix but only works if the machine has been upgraded to SP3. Machines that are installed with a SP3 slipstreamed CD keep replacing the file with a 'clean' one via system file protection from hidden dll.cache folder.

Has anyone managed to get this working with a machine that was NOT upgraded to SP3 but that was natively installed?

Also anyone had simmilar problems and how did you fix?

    Cheers

Perhaps this is an issue on how the install has been slipstreamed?
