Hi,

I have recently installed solaris on my PC and the installlation worked well, i enter my username and thats fine however, when i try to enter my password nothing happens. I can press every key on the keyboard and nothing will input on the screen. Has any one ever had this problem before or is it just a bad copy i got, i don't know.
It was a copy from Oracle web site and burned as iso image.

Have you tried entering the password and hitting enter?
Some *nix distros don't display asterisks when you type the password in (due to security reasons - character count). I've seen it before.

Yea i have tried almost every scenario, thats initially what i thought about hiding the password but it doesn't work either.
