the title is funny but it's an amazing (and easy to read) book: "how to win friends & influence people" by dale carnegie. it was first published over 65 years ago... and it's still relevant. it's not about manipulating people but rather treating people very well just by doing some very simple things. it's amazing how a simple thing, like saying someone's name when first meeting them, is a subtle way to convey that you're interested in learning about them and establishing a friendship.
