I had some bussiness cards made up for him. He is a carpet layer and he has been talking about having some made up. Things have been a little tight though so he hasn't went and done it. So I decide to splurge on him and go have them made for him. Even pick out a picture of a man carrying a roll of carpet on his shoulder to go in the corner. I have to go pick them up friday. Do you think this is a lame present for someone birthday? The money just isn't there to get him a tool in his field. I could have went for a new hdd or a wireless keyboard and mouse. However, since all the puters in the house are mine. I think I have a hard time trying to convince him that they really are for him.:biggrin

Sounds like a good present to me. I would have appreciated it, if it were me.

Well apart from the fact that it is the thought that counts, you obviously went to a lot of trouble to find a pressy that is useful and that he wants. That is a rare find these days as everybody seems to have it all, so I am sure he will appreciate it. I would be over the moon 8)

He's not a member of CF is he? If he is you've just ruined his surprise.:D

I agree with the rest, it's a tidy present alright.

No he is not a member here. He thinks we are all nerds and often wonders how he feel in love with one.:biggrin But the surprised is ruined anyway. The little bugger found the recipet lastnight when he got in my purse for something. Then I started getting the third degree. Did you get color cards, what color did you get. What kind of font did you order. What color is the font!:blink So I got up first thing this morning and called them up and asked them if they started the printing yet. Luckily they were just about to start but hadn't yet. So after joe dropped me off at the dr office he went over there this morning to change the card color and font color. He went with a green card with gold font. He wanted a gloss finish, but they didn't do those kind there and would have to order out of house for them. It would cost something like 150 dollars for that.:ohmy I nearly fainted when he told me that. Then he looked at me and said don't worry i didn't order them. Drat that man! Almost killed me on the spot! Anyway is he tickled with it got a kick out of the gif I picked out to go on it. So all is good in the end.

Sorry cheek, I don't have a scanner. And gav instead of 12 he is getting a bottle of whiskey. It whats he likes to drink.

He loves them Gav, showing them off to our friends and giving them out. Don't know how I'll top it next year unless I buy him some kind of tool.
