I should be starting work as of 04 January, close by. The job is OK paid, however houses are so much cheaper in the north than the south

The rent however is largely the same, I find, until you get to London itself, but it does mean that if any other opportunities come along, they'll likely be in the north because well I was told about x, y and z jobs near the area of Reading, and I'm like "But I want to go back up north" Two very highly paid too (after shift), however house prices are just that much more expensive

Any how, rent should be similarly priced, however houses themselves are a lot cheaper. Landlords get a lot more in terms of rent yield here I guess, but the property prices in the south shoot up a lot higher.
