Sorry, if you have already answered is earlier or somewhere else. But what practice test's are you using. I looking to to get some for network+ (transcender or testout) was what I was thinking. but as you have experience thought I would ask.

I have both full preplogic, Transcender practice exams. Have use the proprofs website to do the free essentials exam which was written by another member here (BrotherBill) and I used a free demo of some other practice exam which I can't remember the name of but that one wasn't very good.

I prefer the preplogic set up, also the questions were written better than the transcender ones and the gui on the transcender ones made me feel sick because of that awful colour scheme.

I would suggest downloading some demos and seeing which you like the best

wow, never in my life time did I ever think to see someone say that about transcender. They must have really gone down hill if they can not even compete with prep logic. Nothing against prep logic I know a couple of people that write for them and they are very good at what they do. Its just that Transcender use to be the cream of the crop.

maybe they have gone down hill, I thought the questions were written by a 5 year old or for a 5 year old and whoever designed that awful yellow colour needs shot but thats just my opinion.

    Have seen them?

There was one which was like a test we in UK did at primary school, it went something like this: Janet notices John has a post it note on his monitor with what looks like a password. Does Janet

    A) Tell John not to be naughty and not have his password written down
    B) Tell on him
    C) Use his computer to do bad thing
    D) hide the post it note & claim ignorance when he asks where it is

Then my eyes went funny because of colour scheme and it had nothing to do with the refresh rate.

You really haven't seen what CompTIA's questions are like, have you? :) Mate, that's spot on how some of CompTIA's questions are like. As much as I'd like to point out fault with my previous employer, I have to give props where they're due.

If PrepLogic doesn't offer those sorts of questions, then shame on them... they're not offering you the right sort of preparation for the exam.

The preplogic ones were more technical though, I just thought thats gotta be a joke.

BM is right, some of the questions are like that. There are many technical ones as well though.

That's not the point. If they're not giving you the same "feel" of the exam as what you'll see on the CompTIA exam, then they're not providing a good exam SIMULATION... they're just asking you a bunch of technical questions. Sometimes, offering up questions that are MORE technical than the exam requires is a sure-fire way to cause someone to overstudy for an exam FAR longer than they ought to study. Get what I'm trying to say? :)

I think so, do you think I am waiting for technical/advanced questions when I shouldn't be?

This is what I found I did for my A+ and 70-271, massively overstudied - the results paid off with 900+ points for all 3 exams, but it took way too long to study for it - something I'm trying to change with the 70-272

Got it! I just tried a PrepLogic demo (10 questions) for the MCTS Vista... You've got to be kidding me! I can breathe a sigh of relief now...

Fair enough - it was just a statement of agreement with what Mike said. We all have different things going on in life - I wanted to take my exam before Easter, now with stuff in the way its seeming less and less likely :(
