Hobbit, you've been the best cat anyone could have asked for. Your loyalty and love were beyond measure. And it breaks my heart to say goodbye to you after spending 15 years of life together.

Thinking of you Mike; it's always a wrench when they go but just think how they have shared your life.

 

My cat was put down on New Years Eve, we were expecting it though due to how ill she had gotten over Christmas :-(. So sad when a member of family passes away.

 

Sorry to hear that Mike. It's always hard loosing a pet.

 

Yeah, she had a tumor that started growing underneath her tongue. Although it doesn't appear that she was hurting strictly because of the tumor (as she continued to try to groom herself), she lost her appetite completely. Lost 2 1/2 pounds in less than a month.

Agree with the others - it's awful loosing "just an animal" (hate it when non-animal-lovers say that!), but as a "cat family" here also, we feel your pain.

 

Really sorry Mike and I feel for you.

 

Hobbit was the last of 6 pets. Karen brought 5 (4 cats, 1 dog) into the relationship, and I brought only Hobbit. They all got old together, and except for one that died in 2004 (at age 17!), they've all died in the last couple years.
