Hi All

I have been looking on here a bit recently with my 70-290 coming for advise

I took this yesterday morning and passed with a 746 on my first attempt

I thought i would come on here and share my experience and advise on this exam

I revised just through the MOC, Instructure led 5 day course and any practice exams i could find.

My advise is:

* Learn your AD User and computer accounts inside out
* Group Policy
* Physical and Logical Drives
* Disaster Recovery
* NTFS Permissions

I felt the Simulations were pretty easy - just dont forget you can reset the question.

So if you dont know it - have a play around and then reset and do it pro.

The questions werent too bad - As with most MS Exams I found that i could eliminate two of the optiosn straight away - and with most re-reading and re-re-re-reading the question helped eliminate the other

Hope this helps anyone in the same boat as i was in on Sunday night at 11PM

Can you tell us what you know about disaster recovery?

I am wondering if things have changed since W2K. Disaster recovery was always a bit hit and miss for my liking.

As for disaster Recovery - I was mainly tested on what sort of restore to perform:

Authorative, Non authorative etc

Also back methods such as Incremental and Differential

i seem to remember having 2 questions with one being Differential abnd one being Incremental

Is it possible to learn from a book in a month?

In the real world disaster recovery can be a real pain. Have you tried recovering from a test disaster?
