Yes and I don't feel confident but would give it my best shot as I have not put in as much time and effort as compared to the VCP 4. Well I would report after exam with feedback.

Anyone else racing to beat the cut of date to sit the VCP 5 without having to sit the two day £££ training?:)

I've decided to wait for work to send me on the "what's changed" 2 day course mate but saying that I only got my 4 last Friday. I'm sure you will smash it mate, I can't imagine too much has changed.

Glad to report back as I passed the vcp 5 exam this morning.

The mark I got this time was low compared to the mark I got for vcp 4.

The exam was tough as most of the answers I struggled with and the wordings weren't the best.

Anyway good luck to anyone else sitting this exam today and those preparing for it I'd say the blueprint is your best bet.

Purchase and watch the train signal video's on vSphere ESXi 5.0 and setup a test lab.

Finally if you've sat and passed the vcp 4 then the vcp 5 though tough can be cracked.

    Grats mate
i found the opposite true, I passed WAY better than my VCP4 (and I have no real idea why), but a lot of the content/blueprint requirements are the same (for all the new features in vSphere 5, plenty hasn't changed) so the years of vSphere 4 helped too

Glad you passed, deadlines over now, everyone else is out of pocket doh :/
I'm waiting for VCAP-DCD5 to go live, i wasn't allowed on the Beta, and I have done the DCD workshop (3 days) twice now (v4 and v5)

Thanks Phonenix, to be honest didn't put in as much study, time and effort as I did with the vcp 4. At the moment at work we still have ESX 4/4.1 host running, so hands on support for ESXi is purely from my lab setup and tickering.

But yes, you're right a lot of the networking, storage and concept are still the same on vSphere VMware ESXi 5.0.
