    Just keep an eye on overcertifying... wouldn't want you to end up with certifications that don't match your experience level.

    Cheers Boson, thats the plan. MCSE: Sec, CPTP, CEH, CCNA and stop there I think. Just so happen to have picked up 2 MCTS along the way that I didn't intend to but deffo will give it a rest for a while once I get through them. Thanks, Jim

    Yeah the 293 is mega solid, would definatley recommend moving on to that straight after your 299. You will find it repeats tons of the 291 material.

    As long as you've got real-world IT experience administering servers, securing networks, and working with Cisco devices, you're good to go!

    EDIT: Searched back... if you've been in IT for 10 years, you likely do. :) And with your 1000+ posts, you've probably seen my warnings plenty of times! Hah!

    299, CPTS, 293, 294 then 298 I think is the plan but I often change my mind. Don't ya just love swapping dates around on Prometric! :twisted:

    Sooooo sat 299 at 13:15 today. 42Q's, 2 hours 10 minutes. I didn't have a clue what it was going to say when I clicked finish on this one . . . . .

    PASSED!!!! JUST!!!! Bit of a weird score, 737 so just scraped a pass but who cares :D So glad to get this one out the way. Now advice time:

    1) Don't underestimate this exam. IMO its not as hard as 291 but its not far off!
    2) Know your GPO's, CA's and GPO's again! Knowing what I know now I wish I'd of done 294 first to have a better grasp on GPO's
    3) CBT Nuggets for this exam are very good. So is the MS Press book.

    Think I'll go after my ICND1 next to have a break from MS as this one really wore me down.
