Site Problems?

Is anyone else having difficulties using the site? I am unable to reply/send PM messages although I am recieving them. I keep getting the 502 error website not responding. I just tried to post in the software forum and when I click new topic I get the same message?

Appears to be working ok for me.

 

Havent noticed anything unusual here ?

I recieved the test PM from Phil but again if I try to reply I can type the message etc but when I click post/reply it just freezes? I can send an email to recipient instead. I also notice my data light on adsl modem goes off as soon as this happens? Only noticed it the last couple of days. No configuration changes at my end, use McAfee firewall.

 

All's checked out fine here, MrNice - could be you've just got a ropey ADSL connection at the moment thats coincidentally occuring when your PM'ing ?

ok, obviously I can post replies in the forum no problem but still when I try to send a PM my status bar loads about 1/4 then just stops until I get an error message saying 502 error, website not responding? anyone any ideas?

 

Who is your ISP?

502 is an error which is usually reported by a proxy.

If you are not using a proxy, maybe your ISP is using a "transparent" proxy, which can cause that problem.

As if by magic it started working again? Never done anything about it my end, my isp....ahem, AOl. Not like them to be causing problems.
