I have been manually writing an apache config from scratch this weekend, and I have scaled down my config for a simple system and documented it on my new blog
its a bit messy at the moment, as I havnt figured out the style options of the blog software, but it should prove to be a useful insight into a simple apache config for new users looking to move away from the 250 line default config

BTW: for those of you still limited/dumb/stupid/stuckatwork enough to be using IE, it wont show up properly as some of the config lines are two long and IE doesnt support full CSS standards
