Should one learn C# before learning ASP.NET

    Depends on the learning approach, ASP .Net is a templating language based on embedding script in HTML.

    The serverside script can be one of many CLR based languages but C# or VB .NET is most common.

    So ideally one would learn the desired CLR script language (C# in this case) and some HTML first.

    You can do both at the same time.
    I've done a bit of C# and VB, and to be honest I found VB easier to get into.

    Each to his own I guess!

    I would say "Yes" . When you move towards making your page / website dynamic , you would need server side interactions , and would need to go beyong HTML and scripting.

    Hence , in short , "YES" , again.
