    Hi there,

I'm a relative novice to Sharpoint, more so to Infopath but I'd like to learn more about its functionality.

We have a requirement in our company to make our purchase orders electronic (archaically, we still use carbon papers to do this.)

Initially I was thinking of using the form features of Acrobat Professional but then I read that InfoPath/Sharepoint might be a more powerful solution.

We already have a Sharepoint 3.0 intranet up and running that I setup a few months back, and we use this for basic communications, filesharing and task lists etc. I also have InfoPath on my machine which I have looked into briefly and it of course has the option to link to a sharepoint site.

What I'm really after is some guidance on some books that I could purchase, or some websites to go to that I can learn from - sure its not going to be THAT easy, but I just need a starting point.

Ultimately, I'd like it to connect up to an SQL server which we run our MRP system off of, seemlessly linking all data entered.....I just don't know if this is possible!!

Please let me know if anyone can help :p
