    Hi Chaps,

I need some advice / recommendations. Were looking for a server image software. Basically were looking to take images of our clients servers before carrying out any esstential maintenance / updates incase we have to roll back. Our clients use Dell / HP and IBM servers and some of these servers are beasts .i.e. 32 GB ram / 4 quad core processors etc.

Not quite sure which image software would be good for this situation? From the top of my head I can think of symantec ghost solution and Acronis image. I'm aware for clonezilla but management are a tad bit reluctant to use this software since its open source etc and no support comes with it.

    Any recommendations would be aprpeciated!!!

    Thanks

Acronis - used it on various servers - no problems so far.

Second that. If its just an image and system is on 2008 then the standard backup aint to bad to retore the whole system from.

I think since your clients use Dell servers why don't you go for server imaging software solutions by Dell as well. I heard they have something called a KACE K2000 but I could be wrong so just google it.
