    Hi
Ive recently obtained my MCSE 2003 and now looking at the upgrade path...

Im aware i need to do the upgrade exam 70-649 but what next, the SA or the EA ? I guess the EA is a higher qualification so if i was to do that one, would that mean you also obtain the SA aswell ?

Alot of confusion over these certs, hoepfully someone can explain it all !

No the MCITP: SA and the MCITP: EA are the same level qualification but relating to different jobs (what the MCSA & MCSE should have been). You do not gain the MCITP: SA if you have the MCITP: EA (and vice versa) without sitting another exam(s).

You can upgrade the MCSA & the MCSE to the MCITP: SA and/or MCITP: EA depending on what exams you take, however the more common upgrade path alot of people take is the MCSA to MCITP: SA and the MCSE to the MCITP: EA.

    Hope that helps :)
