Server 2003 sp1 in HyperV

    Just to stop people making the same mistake i did, the virtual networking with Hyper V doesn't work with SP1, need to install SP2 for it to work. :oops:

    It works with legacy network adapter until you install integration services? (Not sure)

    Nope, couldn't get it to work with any network adapter, legacy or otherwise, it just showed up as an Unknown Device in Device Manager.

    Hyper V is running under 2008 r2

    Bah, especially considering i thought it was my gigabyte controller lastnight so rushed out this morning to buy some old cheap 10/100 controller which had the same issue until i googled the problem :oops:
