Well my question is pretty simple - what are these? The Microsoft Press book (70-290) barely touches it, despite questions in it's exam prep at the end. (And I'm prepping for the exam!!).

I gather that the EMS is a way of connecting to the server if you have a network and GUI failure of some kind, and that the SAC is possibly the interface used (command line?). But that's about it.

How is it installed? How do you know how to connect to the SAC? What can you do once you're in?

    Cheers

Here's a Link I found on Technet for you but I must admit, I don't know that much about EMS/SAC, nor did I have to when I sat 290 in March. Cheers, Jim

**Edit: Tegal if you are sitting your MS exams you want to make a point of going on Technet for more info, white papers etc. Some handy info on there

Can't say I recall it either. Haven't come across it in the course of administering many 2k3 servers over several years either.

Glad its not just me then. I wouldn't worry too much about this topic with regard to your 290 exam Tegal

Thanks guys, the MS Press book has a few q's in the exam prep section about this. Not major. I'll just have to bear in mind that it's there.

I had checked out MS TechNet for this, but was hoping for a Noddy-Guide framework to give me a step into it.
