    hey gurus

we have a server 2003 server. it used to not be greyed out.
but the Select Remote Users tab is greyed out
which explains why we can use RDP to remote into the server

    1. no terminal sessions shown in manager
    2. check box checked to allow remote users
    3. registry setting for TS set to 0 to allow TS session

wtf guys what do you think it is? help:eek:

    itdaddy,

You have to help us help you. We would need some more details between "...server 2003 server." and "...it used to..."

    Questions:
    1. What is the title of the dialog box where "Select Remote Users tab" is located in?
    2. Are you logged into the Windows Server 2003 with a user account that is a member of the Administrators group?

Have you run GPRESULT on the server to determine which group policies are being applied to it.

A greyed out setting smacks of a GPO to me.

greyed out Select Remote Users mean nothing on this server

it had been up for 27 days; rebooted it and( i hate that)
and everything fine..can RDP into fine doesnt need to have
the SRU ungreyed apparantly; weird to me when the other servers are not greyed out and they work fine.

i wish i knew what was missing for it to work. damn i hate not knowing enough; reboot reboot; restore restore. crap
why dont i know enough to pin point it! crap!!

i looked in ouir GPO and seen nothing set that dealt with RDP or terminal services to be greyed out

but yeah, the GPO result i should do so i can see the effective policy good idea; just lazy me..
    thanks
    for all your help

try reseting the GPO's to the default, do this if you dont have other perconfigured GPO settings. If you need help on that let us know, we'll help ;)
