So after years and years of plodding along on an ex-company Core2Duo laptop with not enough RAM and not enough storage, I've finally bit the bullet and got myself a new laptop. I'm actually really pleased with it - quite the bargain. Well, it is in my opinion.

Core i7 3630, 8GB RAM and a TB of yummy storage. W8 (of course) and all for £400. Happy Dwan.

So right now I'm overloading it with my various apps. Got all my productivity stuff and personal bits and pieces - Evernote, Audible, Spotify blah blah blah. I haven't got a separate GFX card so it can't really handle high-end games, but if anyone has any good recommendations I'm happy to hear them. Also open to productivity stuff, especially relating to updating social media (WP blog, Twitter, FB business page) that isn't Tweetdeck.

 

The actual laptop was £500 and I got it excl VAT. Instead of paying full-fat price I went for an A1 refurb, which had great sums off the RRP for what appears to be a small minor lump in the mesh of the chassis
