    Hi all
Im looking to buy a new scanner and have narrowed it down to two..

    CANON LIDE 90

    CANONSCAN 4400F

Has anyone had any experience with either of these scanners?

I bought the LIDE 90. First thing you'll notice is that it has no power cord! The LEDs it uses are so power efficient that it gets all the juice it needs from your USB port. It's also the thinest and lightest scanner I've ever owned. The perfect travelling companion for a road warrior such as myself!

Only thing about the LIDE 90 that caused me some grief is you can't lay a heavy book on it as the thin plexi-glass top bends a little and jams up the scanner. Cannon is also notorious for not supporting Linux. Otherwise I'm fairly pleased with it.
