Just wanted to join up and say Hi to all newbies & oldies!! Has some great topics that cover everything on all subjects and the community is really encouraging and supportive as well as helpful and full of advice.
I'm working through an MCSE CBT course and so far have achieved the CompTIA A+ (Essentials and IT Technician). I'm the middle aged, career change type who's running through this at the best of my ability, as well as a full time job, teacher student wife and 2 kids!!
Coming up to the MCDST and MCP certs at the moment and trying to get that 1st step on the ladder with no experience. Jobs are applied for but nothing coming back as yet! Onwards and upwards as the say.
    Cheers.:blink

    Welcome!

If you don't yet have experience, I'd recommend that you hold up on your MCSE training. That's an advanced certification that won't be of much use to you starting out... and can actually make you look overcertified for entry-level positions, which is NOT good when you'll need to be pursuing those entry-level positions!

I'd recommend pursuing the A+, Network+, and MCDST... and no further, until you've got some experience.

    Best of luck!
