err ive worked two jobs more than 2 years, thats it
never asked about 'short' work periods
in IT, 2 years is plenty

 

Same here. This current role is the longest I've spent anywhere for about eight years. Been here two and a half years and like it, so no reason to leave. Usually I get bored after a year, learn everything there is to know then get itchy feet. I've never left a job for one that paid less, and, when asked, give the reason for leaving the current employer as 'lack of promotion' or 'a new challenge'

 

Yeah, as long as you have justification for leaving then i have never seen it as a problem! Im not going to get a better wage for desktop support than i am now, so im looking to move into a move Server/Sys admin position for a similar wage with the main benefit of a greater tech environment and fall inline with my MCSA. That being said i have worked my ass off in all my roles and studied for 1-3 hours every day for the last 18 months!
