For those with decent monitors and eyesight, and who dont mind reading off a screen.. Safari has just (well a while ago now, I just got round to writing about it though) released a new tier of there membership called Safari Library

No longer are you limited to a bookshelf of 10 - 20 or 30 slots, with the Library you can now have as many books as you like, gone is the limitation of checking something out for 30 days minimum

For a techy this is one of the greatest resources available, with books on thousands of subjects you have a limitless supply of information at hand, be it at home, the office, or stuck on a client site at 2am

Just thought I would point it out for those of you unfamiliar with it who can handle reading online :)

    Edit:
For those that don't know, Safari is an online bookshelf / Library service run by Oreilly and supported by numerous publishers including Que, Sams, Cisco Press, Microsoft Press, New Riders and lots more,

    JESUS HENRY CHRIST!

I like O'Really - their books are ace - but to be honest, that is ridiculously expensive. Besides, call me an old fart, but I like to have the paper copies of the books to read on the train, on planes, in bed or, generally, anywhere where I might get a break from starting at a screen after looking at it for ten hours solid a day at work!

    Hmm
i look at it a different way
If i can have access to countless cisco books that cost me circa $100 - 120 a piece, I hardly feel $30 bucks a month is out of reach (it equates to about 20 quid on my card bill)

Also bear in mind this is there PREMIUM package
you can get a 10 slot bookshelf for $19.99 a month, a whole 10 pound

I know where your coming from re the screen Zeb, hence my opening line :)
