Anyways, I don't want this to turn into a *rambling* thread. Just want to make sure we're organised, as the meet is only a few weeks away.

Respond to the thread if you're coming, and if you're happy with my suggestion of a "plan".

I'll be in town from... ooooh... some pathetic early time. Will possibly go to the gym first, and dangle around from 12pm-ish.

I suggest meeting at the Newt and Cucumber (as per the other Birmingham meets) as it's simply the nearest to New Street Station, where most of you will probably be arriving. address and map for the 'Newt'

Once everyone has 'assembled' (not sure what time you're all scraping yourselves across) there are a variety of other... pubs we can go in the area. These include the Briar Rose, Edmunds (newly opened), Utopia, All Bar One, Bushwhackers... and that's without venturing onto Broad Street. I think most (if not all) of these do food of some form if you're worried about lining your bellies.

Previous meets have simply taken the form "arrive", "drink", "some people eat", "drink more".

Whilst I have absolutely no problem with that format, in case anyone wanted to attempt something different, if you venture onto Broad Street (5 minute taxi from our side of town) there's a good bowling alley and a sports bar with nice American Pool and standard pool tables. Just a thought...

Aaaanyway, if anyone needs my contact details in case of getting lost (I can't navigate by streets btw, can only navigate you from pub to pub) then drop me a PM.
